Our Story
BRADY-ANNE
In 1993, Brady-Anne attended the Maine College of Art where she studied fine art with a design focus. After a brief hiatus in 1995, she relocated to Carrabassett Valley, Maine to begin to further explore her love of interior design. In Carrabassett Valley, she designed interiors for private vacation homes, as well as entire condominium projects. After six years practicing residential design, she and her husband returned to Portland to continue her design education.
Brady-Anne began working for Old Port Specialty Tile in the summer of 2003. She thoroughly enjoys the scope of the projects and the exceptional people that walk through the doors at Old Port Specialty Tile. Thriving on the intricacy, detail, and creative license that Tile Design allows, she places her design roots firmly in the theory that your home is the strongest influence on your feelings and the greatest reflection of yourself! KATIE
In 2005 Katie joined the team at Old Port Specialty Tile. Her main role is in Sales & Layout Design. Having always been involved with the arts she enjoys using the medium of tile creatively while also focusing on its technical limitations. Collaborating with her clients and making what they envision a reality is Katie’s main goal.
THERESA
Theresa joined the then two-man staff of Old Port Specialty Tile Co. back in 2003. At the time she was needed for general office duties and greeting of clients. As Office Assistant she learned quickly that this was much more than a tile store. She loves to talk with the clients and get to know who they are, and not just what their tiling needs may be. She forged many relationships with repeat clientele and helped strengthen bonds with vendors to create open communication with on going jobs. The introduction of a team atmosphere has allowed the store to grow and strengthen its bond with each and every client. Theresa is now co-manager with Brady-Anne. She still comes to the floor to welcome and assist clients as well as bridges a gap between Old Port and its sister store Capozza Tile and Floor Covering Center. When you have billing inquiries she is the one to call on.
